HAMMOND, La. – The No. 20/21 Southeastern Louisiana University football team will host Nicholls for the 36th edition of the River Bell Classic on Senior Night Thursday at 6 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium.

The regular season finale between SLU (8-3, 6-1 SLC) and the visiting Colonels (4-7, 4-3 SLC) will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).

Approximately 40 minutes prior to the game, Southeastern will recognize the senior class of KK Reno, Kaleb Proctor, Brandon Hayes, Khamron Ford, Blayne Delahoussaye, Rodeo Graham Jr., Rowan Briggs, Tyler Mansfield, Jordyn Williams, Luke Besh, Corey Lorio, Jaedon Henry, Ian Conerly-Goodly Guillermo Garcia Rodriguez, Justin Dumas, Joshua Randall, Alec Mahler, Noah Devlin, Javin Turner, Dalton Allen, Holden Kareokowsky, Da'shun Hugley, Jett Booker, Cade Collier, Ahmad Bradley and head equipment manager Cade Genovese in a Senior Day ceremony.

The 26-member Southeastern senior class includes 14 players who already have bachelor's degrees, 13 Southland Conference Academic Honor Roll members, six All-SLC players, four SLC All-Academic performers and three All-Louisiana selections.

The members of the 2025 senior class have been a part of 40 wins, five winning seasons, two NCAA FCS playoff appearances and the 2022 Southland Conference championship. A win Thursday would further bolster Southeastern's resume to add another playoff appearance to the tally.

The Lions put themselves in that position with last Saturday's 10-7 win at defending SLC champion UIW. Khalid Moore deflected a potential game-tying field goal with 11 seconds remaining to allow SLU to leave San Antonio with a win for the first time since 2016.

Southeastern will be looking to buck another trend Thursday, as the road team has won the last seven meetings between the Lions and the Colonels. SLU's 19-16 win last season in Thibodaux gave Southeastern a slight 18-17 lead in the all-time series.

Southeastern is averaging 32.9 points per game - including 39.1 points per game versus FCS foes - heading into the regular season finale. Carson Camp (1,568 yards, 12 TD, 4 INT) and Kyle Lowe (723 yards, 7 TD, 3 INT) have split time under center for the Lions with Jaylon Domingeaux (40 catches, 734 yards, 8 TD) the top target in the passing game.

Deantre Jackson leads SLU on the ground with 481 yards and seven touchdowns, while Calvin Smith Jr. (381 yards, 5 TD), Lowe (367 yards, 4 TD) and Henry (298 yards, 4 TD) have also been productive in the run game.

The Lion defense ranks among the national leaders in scoring defense (17.0 ppg, 12th), sacks (34, 8th), tackles for loss (80, 11th) and yards allowed per game (294.4, 7th). Reno, the reigning Stats Perform FCS National and Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week, ranks 11th in FCS with 110 tackles to lead SLU, which is allowing 11.9 points per game versus FCS foes.

Reno, Jakyri Jones (53), Jirrea Johnson Jr. (50), Ford (48) and Conerly-Goodly (41) are the top five tacklers for SLU, while Proctor (11 TFL, seven sacks), Randall (8.5 TFL, 5.5 sacks) and Bradley (5.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks) fuel the pass rush.

Southeastern is also seventh nationally in passing yards allowed. Conerly-Goodly leads the team with three interceptions, while Zach Johnson has broken up a team-high 11 passes.

The Lions feature the nation's top return tandem, as Hayes (33.1) leads FCS in kickoff return average, while Dkhai Joseph (15.2) is eighth in punt return average.

Nicholls is coming off a 26-21 home win over Northwestern State last Saturday.

The Colonels are averaging 17.5 points per game this fall, as Deuce Hogan (1,046 yards, 4 TD, 5 INT) and Ean Rodrigue (779 yards, 6 TD, 1 INT) have split time under center. Shane Lee leads the team with six rushing touchdowns, while Miequele Brock Jr. has accumulated 817 yards as the team's top receiver and second-leading rusher.

Opponents are averaging 23.7 points per game versus the Colonels. Jake Dalmado (89 tackles, 7.5 TFL), Hayden Shaheen (88 tackles) and Laurence Sullivan Jr. (4 INT) are among the Nicholls defensive leaders.

The 24-team NCAA FCS playoff field will be announced Sunday at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.
