SLU Ranked 20th, 21st in Latest FCS Polls

Southeastern (8-3, 6-1 SLC) hosts Nicholls Thursday at 6 p.m. for River Bell Classic, Senior Day

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football team sits at No. 20 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll and No. 21 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Monday.

Southeastern (8-3, 6-1 SLC) moved up one spot in the coaches poll and two spots in the Stats Perform list after a 10-7 victory at UIW Saturday. Khalid Moore's deflection of the potential game-tying field goal in the final minute helped SLU quell a late Cardinal rally and leave San Antonio with a win for the first time since 2016.

Southeastern, Lamar and SFA are all representing the Southland Conference in both polls. LU is No. 19 in both polls. The Lumberjacks are up to No. 14 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and sit at No. 13 in the coaches poll. SLC foe UTRGV is also receiving votes in the coaches poll.

The Lions' win on Saturday bolstered an already strong postseason resume. A win in the regular season finale would give SLU a 9-1 record versus FCS competition. The 24-team FCS playoff field will be announced Sunday at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.

Southeastern will close out the 2025 regular season at home Thursday at 6 p.m. The Lions welcome Nicholls (4-7, 4-3 SLC) for the annual River Bell Classic. Thursday's game will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).

Approximately 40 minutes prior to the game, Southeastern will recognize the senior class of KK Reno, Kaleb Proctor, Brandon Hayes, Khamron Ford, Blayne Delahoussaye, Rodeo Graham Jr., Rowan Briggs, Tyler Mansfield, Jordyn Williams, Luke Besh, Corey Lorio, Jaedon Henry, Ian Conerly-Goodly, Guillermo Garcia Rodriguez, Justin Dumas, Noah Devlin, Javin Turner, Dalton Allen, Holden Kareokowsky, Da'shun Hugley, Jett Booker, Cade Collier, Ahmad Bradley and head equipment manager Cade Genovese in a Senior Day ceremony.
