SLU Continues Road Trip at Arkansas Thursday

Southeastern (1-1) takes on Razorbacks at 6:30 p.m.

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team will continue its road trip Thursday, when it tips off with Arkansas at 6:30 p.m. in Bud Walton Arena.
 
Thursday's matchup between SLU (1-1) and the Razorbacks (3-0) will be televised on SEC Network+.
 
The Lady Lions opened the season by splitting the first two games in the opening week under first-year head coach Jeff Dow.
 
In its first win of the season against Centenary, six Lady Lions scored in double figures, led by Taylor Ross' 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting in 20 minutes of play. Ross leads the Lady Lions in points, averaging 9.5 points. Through two games, Aaliyah Collins averages nine points per matchup.
 
Ross also leads SLU in rebounds, averaging 4.5 rebounds in Southeastern's first two games. Natalie Huff has made a strong impact on the defensive end for the Lady Lions, totaling nine steals in two games, seven of which came against Centenary.
 
The Razorbacks have had strong play through their first three games, scoring 94.3 points per contest. Arkansas defeated Central Arkansas,89-77, in overtime Monday. Arkansas has five student-athletes averaging in double figures, led by SEC Freshman of the Week Bonnie Deas' 18.3 points per game. The Razorbacks have been strong from behind the three-point line, shooting 41.3% from the perimeter through three games.
 
Southeastern's all-time record against Arkansas is 0-2. The teams last met for the first time in the 2015-16 season with the Razorbacks winning, 97-53, in Fayetteville.
 
SLU will end its road trip next Tuesday, when the Lady Lions face off with Southern Miss in Reed Green Coliseum on Nov. 18, at 5 p.m. Southeastern's road matchup at Southern Miss will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on KSLU 90.9 The Lion, online at either www.LionSports.net/listenlive or www.LionUpRadio.org, via the following apps – Lions Gameday Experience, Live365, iHeart, Audacy, TuneIn and MyTuner Radio - or on Alexa speakers (skill must be enabled first).
