HAMMOND, La. – The No. 16/21 Southeastern Louisiana University football team will attempt to remain unbeaten in Southland Conference play when it welcomes East Texas A&M for a 6 p.m. contest Saturday in Strawberry Stadium.
The contest between SLU (6-2, 3-0 SLC) and the visiting Lions (2-6, 2-2 SLC) will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard live on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
Saturday's game with East Texas A&M will feature Military Appreciation Night at Strawberry Stadium and will be part of the university's Family Day.
Southeastern, which is ranked No. 16 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25 and No. 21 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25, extended its winning streak to four games last Saturday, rolling to a 38-14 road win at HCU. The Lion defense held the host Huskies to 199 total yards and eight first downs on the way to the victory.
SLU is averaging 35.1 points per game - including 45.2 points per contest versus FCS opponents. Carson Camp (81-for-120, 1,067 yards, 9 TD, 4 INT) and Kyle Lowe (48-for-73, 638 yards, 6 TD, 2 INT) continue to effectively share time under center for the Lions.
Jaylon Domingeaux (29 catches, 473 yards, 6 TD) is Camp and Lowe's top target in the passing game. Lowe (330 yards, 4 TD), Calvin Smith Jr. (324-3 TD), Deantre Jackson (293-6 TD) and Jaedon Henry (238-4 TD) are all key contributors to the ground attack.
Southeastern is allowing 19.0 points per game to opposing offenses, including just 12.0 points per game in six FCS contests. KK Reno leads the team with 67 tackles, followed by Khamron Ford (31), Jakyri Jones (31), Ian Conerly-Goodly (28) and Jirrea Johnson Jr. (28).
SLU is seventh nationally with 3.0 sacks per game. Kaleb Proctor leads the Southland with six sacks, while Joshua Randall has 4.5 this fall. Conerly-Goodly and Ford each have two interceptions, while Zack Johnson has a team-high eight pass breakups.

Reigning SLC Special Teams Player of the Week Brandon Hayes is one of two FCS players with two kickoff return touchdowns this season and is third in FCS with a 32.7 kickoff return average.
East Texas A&M coming off a hard-fought 31-21 loss to No. 24 SFA last Saturday.
The Lions are averaging 27.8 points per contest. Ron Peace is the primary quarterback for ETAMU, completing 84 of 150 passes for 1,281 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.
Christian Jourdain (38 catches, 486 yards, 2 TD) and Devin Matthews (26-536-5 TD) are the Lions' top receivers, while KJ Shankle (355 yards, 2 TD) and EJ Oakmon (251 yards, 7 TD) are the team's top contributors on the ground.
Opponents are averaging 39.9 points per contest versus East Texas A&M. Koby-Sebasyen King leads the Lions with 68 tackles and 11 tackles for loss.
Southeastern is 6-5-1 all-time versus East Texas A&M. SLU has won the last two meetings, including a 21-9 victory last season in Hammond.
Following Saturday's contest, the Lions will play the next two games away from home. SLU heads to No. 14 Lamar next Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest. The showdown between Southeastern and the Cardinals will be televised on ESPN+ and will be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
