HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team will welcome HCU to Strawberry Stadium Thursday at 7 p.m. for its lone match in week six of Southland Conference play.

SLU (4-7-4, 3-3-2 SLC) will host its final regular season home match against the Huskies (7-7-2, 2-3-2 SLC) to close out its two-match home stretch. Thursday's match against HCU will be televised on ESPN+ and live stats can be accessed on the women's soccer schedule page at www.LionSports.net.

The Lady Lions are seeking to regroup after splitting 1-1 this past weekend in league play. Southeastern gained a 2-1 victory over UIW on the road before falling 2-1 to East Texas A&M at home. Newcomers Alexandra Knight and Charlotte Lewis connected in the back of the net against the Cardinals to help SLU secure its second conference road victory. Knight remains in a three-way tie, alongside Emma Ramsey and Aja Nelson, to lead the green and gold in scoring this season with three goals.

Sophomore forward Isabella Fregoso recorded her first collegiate goal off an assist by Nelson against the Lions to help equalize the match late in the first half. Southeastern goalkeeper Kendall Curran continues to handle the majority of the responsibility in the net with 80 saves this season. The Lady Lions have posted 16 goals, 140 shots and 63 shots on goal with 11 assists this season.

The Huskies finished 0-1 last week after falling 2-0 to reigning Southland Conference champion Stephen F. Austin on the road. HCU suffered its fifth shutout of the season against the Lumberjacks in week four of league play. The Huskies are led by junior midfielder Isabella Dillow with four goals and two game winners this season. The Woodlands, Texas native has posted 23 shots with nine shots on goal as Olivia Rossman, Jasmine Diaz and Katya Alexis are also key contributors for HCU with six combined goals.

HCU ranks seventh in the SLC women's soccer standings with a 3-5-1 record on the road this season. The Huskies have posted 17 goals, 188 shots and 84 shots on goal against opponents this season. Sophomore Emmy McKeon and junior Terra Rybuck have split responsibility in the net for HCU with 71 saves and a 1.16 goals against average.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink, as the Huskies visit Hammond, America, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to honor survivors, support fighters and remember those lost.

Southeastern will return on the road for its final regular season match against conference rival McNeese Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in Lake Charles, La. Thursday's match against the Cowgirls will be streamed on ESPN+.
