HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team hosts the University of New Orleans in the annual Pontchartrain Bowl rivalry series at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. Games are slated for 6 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
This season marks the ninth iteration of the Pontchartrain Bowl. SLU has won five times, although the Privateers have won two of the last three.
Saturday's game is Alumni Night and will also feature Baseball Bingo. SLU Baseball alums are asked to check in by 5 p.m. for a tour of the new clubhouse facility and on-field recognition prior to the first pitch. Sunday is Military Appreciation Day. Free general admission tickets are available Sunday for active military members by presenting a valid service ID at the gate.
All three games between Southeastern (22-22, 4-11 SLC) and the Privateers (24-20, 9-6 SLC) are slated for coverage on ESPN+.

Southeastern is coming off a midweek loss at Tulane on Tuesday.
The Lions, hitting at a .269 clip as a team, are led at the plate by

Right-hander
Brennan Stuprich (3-3, 3.12) draws the starting nod for the Lions in the series opener. The redshirt junior from Kenner, Louisiana will be opposed by UNO junior left-hander Colton Mercer (5-4, 3.28).
Saturday's pitching matchup features redshirt junior right-hander RHP
Dakota Lee (1-3, 6.02) for SLU and junior right-hander Grant Edwards (4-4, 5.24) for the Privateers.
SLU has not announced a starting pitcher for the series finale. UNO will go with junior right-hander Cortez Dennis (2-2, 5.96).
The Privateers are hitting .291 collectively with Mitchell Sanford (.394-14-58), Victor Castillo (.370-9-27) and Miguel Useche (.342-3-34) leading the way at the plate.
UNO dropped its last game, a non-conference contest Tuesday at Southern Miss.
Southeastern enters the weekend in ninth place in the Southland standings, one game in back of seventh-place McNeese and 0.5 games behind eighth-place Houston Christian. The Privateers sit in third place, three games in back of first-place Lamar.
The top eight teams in the conference standings qualify for the Southland's postseason tournament. The 2024 Southland Conference Baseball Championship presented by North Oaks Health System is set to be held, May 22-25, at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field in Hammond.

Southeastern returns to action next weekend at UIW in San Antonio, Texas. Games are slated for 2 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. All three games are slated for coverage on ESPN+ and the Southeastern Sports Radio Network.

Single-game tickets are now on sale. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize ticket lines on game days. Southeastern students are encouraged to contact the ticket office before the game to reserve theirs in advance.
General admission tickets for most games are $11 for adults and $8 for youth (ages 3-12). Southeastern students, with a university ID, and children under age 2 are admitted for free. Gameday parking is $5 per day for standard vehicles and $25 for RVs.

Southeastern uses mobile ticketing as the primary method for distributing tickets purchased online. Tickets will be available via text message or email in a PDF format for fans to download on their phone or print at home. Tickets can also be downloaded to Apple Wallet.
