HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball squad hosts Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field in one of several key Southland Conference series during the final weekend of the 2024 regular season.

 Games between Southeastern (26-25, 8-13 SLC) and the Islanders (21-31, 9-12 SLC) are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. All three contests are slated for coverage on ESPN+.

 Senior Night is scheduled for Friday and Saturday is the final Baseball Bingo contest of the season.

HAMMOND, La. –The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball squad has once again altered its schedule against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in one of several key Southland Conference series during the final weekend of the 2024 regular season.
 
Southeastern (26-25, 8-13 SLC) and the Islanders (21-31, 9-12 SLC) are now scheduled to play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday. Senior Night remains as scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday. All three contests are slated for coverage on ESPN+.
 
Fans can listen to the games in the Hammond area on 90.9 The Lion. In addition, an audio stream is available online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via the Lions Gameday Experience, TuneIn and MyTuner Radio apps. SLU enters the weekend in eighth place in the Southland standings, one game behind both the Islanders and UIW (24-27, 9-12 SLC). Ninth-place Houston Christian (16-30, 7-14 SLC) sits one game behind the Lions and hosts UIW this weekend.
 
The Lions swept a three-game Southland series this past weekend at UIW before dropping their final non-conference contest of the regular season Tuesday at home against South Alabama.
 
Southeastern, hitting at a .279 clip as a team, is led at the plate by Shea Thomas (.325-9-37), TJ Salvaggio (.313-13-40) and Ryan Brome (.293-3-26).
 
Right-hander Brennan Stuprich (4-3, 2.89) draws the starting nod for the Lions in the series opener. The redshirt junior from Kenner, Louisiana will be opposed by A&M-Corpus Christi junior right-hander Jack Hill (1-4, 5.44).
 
Friday's pitching matchup features redshirt junior right-hander Dakota Lee (1-3, 6.37) for SLU and junior left-hander Zach Garcia (4-1, 3.95) for the Islanders.
 
A&M-Corpus Christi has not announced a starting pitcher for the series finale. The Lions will go with junior right-hander Aiden Vosburg (0-5, 7.62).
 
The Islanders are hitting .279 as a squad and are led at the plate by Issac Webb (.342-3-28), Cole Modgling (.326-1-18), Sebastian Trinidad (.324-0-34) and Garrett Gruell (.303-10-31).
 
After an open date in the conference schedule, A&M-Corpus Christi returned to action Tuesday night and dropped a 4-3 decision at home to future conference member UTRGV.

With the 2024 regular season wrapping up this weekend, the nine Southland baseball programs are jockeying for seeding in the North Oaks Health System Southland Conference Baseball Championship. Set to be held, May 22-25, at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field in Hammond, the top eight teams in the conference standings qualify for the Southland's postseason tournament.

Single-game tickets are now on sale. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize ticket lines on game days. Southeastern students are encouraged to contact the ticket office before the game to reserve theirs in advance.
 
General admission tickets for most games are $11 for adults and $8 for youth (ages 3-12). Southeastern students, with a university ID, and children under age 2 are admitted for free. Gameday parking is $5 per day for standard vehicles and $25 for RVs.

Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. The ticket booth at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field opens exactly one hour before the scheduled first pitch.

Southeastern uses mobile ticketing as the primary method for distributing tickets purchased online. Tickets will be available via text message or email in a PDF format for fans to download on their phone or print at home. Tickets can also be downloaded to Apple Wallet.
