Lions Host South Alabama for $2 Tuesday, Jimmy Buffett Night

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team returns home to Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field, hosting South Alabama at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Lions' final non-conference contest of the regular season.
 
General admission tickets, purchased at the ballpark, and hot dogs are both $2. Children (12 & under) will have the opportunity to stand next to their favorite SLU player during the National Anthem. It's also Jimmy Buffett Night. Fans are encouraged to wear their best Hawaiian shirt and enjoy the laid-back vibes at the ballpark as the Lions celebrate the late trop rock legend.
 
The game is slated for TV coverage on ESPN+.
 
Fans can also listen to the game in the Hammond area on 90.9 The Lion. In addition, an audio stream is available online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via the Lions Gameday Experience, TuneIn and MyTuner Radio apps. Both the TuneIn and MyTuner apps are compatible with the Apple CarPlay software available in most late-model automobiles. Search for KSLU 90.9 FM in the TuneIn app.
 
South Alabama (29-22) picked up an 8-1 win over SLU (26-24) back on Feb. 21 at Stanky Field in Mobile, Alabama. It was the first midweek contest of the season for both squads.
 
The Lions are coming off a series sweep of UIW in San Antonio, Texas in which they pounded out 48 hits in the three games.
 
Southeastern, hitting at a .282 clip as a team, is led at the plate by Shea Thomas (.326-9-37), Cole Stromboe (.325-1-14), TJ Salvaggio (.313-13-40) and Ryan Brome (.296-3-26).
 
Right-hander Will Kinzeler (1-4, 9.66) draws the starting nod for the Lions. The senior from Covington, Louisiana will be opposed by South Alabama freshman right-hander Zach Stevens (0-0, 7.71).
 
The Jaguars, hitting .244 collectively, are led at the plate by Micah Morgan (.306-4-23), Brennan Holt (.280-3-23) and Tyler Borges (.273-4-22).
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern wraps up the 2024 regular season, hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a three-game series at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. Games are slated for 6 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
 
Friday's game is Senior Night and Saturday's game will be the last Baseball Bingo contest of the season.
 
TICKET & PARKING INFORMATION
Single-game tickets are now on sale. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize ticket lines on game days. Southeastern students are encouraged to contact the ticket office before the game to reserve theirs in advance.
 
General admission tickets for most games are $11 for adults and $8 for youth (ages 3-12). Southeastern students, with a university ID, and children under age 2 are admitted for free. Gameday parking is $5 per day for standard vehicles and $25 for RVs.
 
Tickets can be purchased online at www.LionSports.net/Tickets or by contacting the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office at (985) 549-5466. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. The ticket booth at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field opens exactly one hour before the scheduled first pitch.

Southeastern uses mobile ticketing as the primary method for distributing tickets purchased online. Tickets will be available via text message or email in a PDF format for fans to download on their phone or print at home. Tickets can also be downloaded to Apple Wallet.
