Jr. G Roscoe Eastmond has SLU's lone double-digit assist game on the year
HAMMOND, La. – For the final time this season, the Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team will play both of its games during the week at home as the Lions welcome in Incarnate Word and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, with the game against the Islanders on national television, to the University Center.
Southeastern (13-9, 7-2 SLC) enters the week on a three-game win streak, just one win shy of its season best win streak of four games which was achieved as soon as the calendar flipped over to 2023 as part of a 7-1 month of January for the Lions.
The final two wins of January both came against New Orleans. In the final game of the month, SLU used a 17-0 second half run to bust open the game and hold off the Privateers for an 80-64 win.
Nick Caldwell completed a week of dominance against UNO with a 21-point, 8-rebound performance in the game in New Orleans.
Alec Woodard continued to shoot at a high volume, hitting six of his seven attempts and finished with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Boogie Anderson filled up the stat sheet with 12 points and five assists.
Roscoe Eastmond scored 11 points and had a career high five steals.
Roger McFarlane also filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and two steals.

After his two dominant games against UNO, Caldwell is now averaging 11 points per game this season along with 5.2 rebounds per game. McFarlane is also above 10 points per game this season, averaging 10.4 points per game while leading the Lions in rebounds at 7.7 boards per game. th. In their most recent contest, a 69-67 home win over Nicholls, Jonathan Cisse and Trey Miller each led the Cardinals with 16 points each as Cisse finished the comeback from down eight points in the second half and capped the win with a three pointer with less than 30 second left which put UIW up four points, enough to see out the win. Josh Morgan added 14 points and Stephon Payne III closed in on a double-double, finishing with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Cisse leads the Cardinals, averaging 15.4 points per game and hits nearly 43% from three as UIW's best deep shot threat.
