HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana senior Mya Guillory was named All-Academic First Team by the conference Thursday afternoon after a solid senior campaign on the field and an exceptional performance in the classroom.
Mya Guillory was the lone Lady Lion to represent Southeastern for first team honors. Guillory finished with a 4.00 GPA in Health Sciences as a graduate student. The Prairieville, Louisiana native was the second leading scorer for SLU with four goals and two assists to total ten points this season.
Guillory closes out her career at Southeastern Louisiana as a heavily impactful player all five years with the Lady Lions. This season the veteran also earned Preseason All-SLC First Team, All-SLC Second Team and first team selection on the 2023 Louisiana Sports Writers Association Collegiate Women's Soccer Team.
To be eligible for all-academic distinction, an athlete must hold a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average through the semester prior to the sport's championship, completed at least one full academic year at the nominating school prior to the current season, and participated in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions during the most recently completed season.
Guillory was selected among the conference's highest in academic standing in her last season in a Southeastern uniform.
