HAMMOND, La. – First-year head coach
Bobby Barbier announced a home-heavy 2024 schedule Monday as the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball program is slated to host 31 home games within the friendly confines of Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
Southeastern opens the Barbier Era with a three-game series in Hammond against Tarleton State, Feb. 16-18.
The month of March dominates the home slate with a nine-game homestand and the beginnings of a seven-game homestand, all part of 20 home games during the month.
A home game against defending national champion LSU kicks off the season's longest homestand, March 6, followed by a three-game series with North Dakota State, a single game against Tulane, a three-game series against Saint Louis and, finally, a single game against LSUA.
Marquee road trips East Carolina for the annual Keith LeClair Classic, March 1-3, against opponents Cal State Fullerton, Purdue and host ECU, along with a return trip to LSU (March 26).
Southland Conference action commences, March 22-24, at Northwestern State. The Lions will also travel to Lamar (April 12-14), McNeese (April 26-28) and UIW (May 10-12) for conference series.
Conference opponents headed to Hammond include – HCU (March 28-30), Nicholls (April 5-7), New Orleans (May 3-5) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (May 16-18).
Southeastern will once again host the Southland Conference Tournament, May 22-25, marking the third time in the last four seasons at least part of the event has been held in Hammond.

SLU matches up against ULM in a 16-inning contest, Nov. 5, at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi. General admission tickets ($10) will be available on Ticketmaster beginning Friday. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. Gates open one hour prior and the parking lots ($5) open two hours before first pitch.
