HAMMOND, La. – Forward Terri Crawford will continue her academic and athletic endeavors as a member of the Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball program, Southeastern head coach
Ayla Guzzardo announced on Wednesday.
A 6-1 post from Birmingham, Alabama, Crawford is the fourth member of the 2022-23 Southeastern women's basketball signing class. SLU previously inked Taylor Dupree (6-2, F, Brandon, Mississippi, UT Martin/Northwestern Rankin HS), Jen Pierre (5-5, G, Amite, Louisiana, Amite HS) and Allasia Washington (5-8, G, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Madison Prep Academy).
Crawford is no stranger to the Southland Conference, as she spent two seasons at former league member Central Arkansas, playing in 49 games and making 12 starts. Crawford averaged 5.4 points and 3.8 rebounds for the Sugar Bears and comes to Hammond with three years of eligibility remaining. Prior to her time at UCA, she averaged 12.3 points and 6.8 rebounds at Ramsay High School.
"We're excited to add Terri to our Lady Lion family," Guzzardo commented. "She comes to us with experience in the Southland Conference and we expect her to make an immediate impact with her athleticism and versatility in the post. Her phenomenal work ethic and leadership will benefit our program greatly."
Crawford, Dupree, Pierre and Washington join a 2022-23 roster that will feature 10 returning letter winners. The Lady Lions will tip off the 2022-23 season in November.
