HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team hosts No. 3-ranked Southern Miss at 6 p.m. Tuesday in non-conference action at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field, one of four home games remaining on the Lions' 2022 regular-season schedule.
 
Tuesday's game against Southern Miss (32-8) is a Cane's Challenge contest. When the Lions (17-23) score four or more runs, fans can take their ticket or student coupon to any participating Raising Cane's location for a buy-one, get-one-free offer on any combo.
 
Fans in the Hammond area can listen to the game broadcast on the flagship station of the Southeastern Sports Radio Network – KSLU 90.9 FM – in addition to online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via the Lions Gameday Experience, Mixlr and MyTuner Radio apps. The MyTuner app is compatible with the Apple CarPlay software available in most late model automobiles. Fans should search for SLU Athletics (Mixlr) or Southeastern Sports Radio Network (MyTuner).
 
The game will also air on ESPN+.
 
SLU will send senior right-hander Hunter O'Toole (2-3, 5.96) to the mound in a starting role Tuesday opposite Golden Eagle right-hander Matthew Adams (0-0, 13.50).
 
Following a four-game winning streak, the Lions have lost their last three.
 
Shea Thomas (.297), Preston Faulkner (.282), Tyler Finke (.260) and Tristan Welch (.255) pace Southeastern at the plate. Faulkner leads the squad with 21 extra-base hits, including a Southland-leading 11 home runs to go along with 38 RBIs. The RBI total ranks fourth in the conference. Tyler Finke is tops on the team with 16 stolen bases, one shy of the conference leader. Rhett Rosevear (25) leads the nation in HBPs and the Lions (84) rank second as a team.
 
The Golden Eagles have won their last 14 games, a streak that began, April 3, at Louisiana Tech.
 
Dustin Dickerson (.352), Slade Wilks (.319) and Reece Ewing (.304) are Southern Miss' top hitters. Wilks leads the team with 22 extra-base hits and four stolen bases. Christopher Sargent paces the team with 11 home runs and 36 RBIs.
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern returns to Southland Conference action this coming weekend in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The Lions face Northwestern State in a three-game series at Brown-Stroud Field. Game times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
 
TICKET & PARKING INFORMATION
Single-game tickets are on sale for the remainder of the regular season. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize ticket lines on game days. Southeastern students are encouraged to contact the ticket office prior to the game to reserve theirs in advance.
 
General admission tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for youth (ages 3-12). Southeastern students, with a university ID, and children under age 2 are admitted for free. Gameday parking is $5 per day for standard vehicles and $25 for RVs.
 
Tickets can be purchased online at www.LionSports.net/Tickets or by contacting the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office at (985) 549-5466. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. The ticket booth at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field opens exactly one hour prior to the scheduled first pitch.

Southeastern uses mobile ticketing as the primary method for distributing tickets purchased online. Tickets will be available via text message or email in a PDF format for fans to download on their phone or print at home. Tickets can also be downloaded to Apple Wallet.
