HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team travels to Lake Charles, Louisiana this weekend for a three-game, Southland Conference series against McNeese at Joe Miller Ballpark. Game times are set for 6 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Winners in nine of its last 11 games, Southeastern (17-20, 7-5 SLC) is tied for first place in the conference standings – one game in front of McNeese (20-17, 6-6 SLC).
Fans in the Hammond area can listen to the game broadcast online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via the Lions Gameday Experience, Mixlr and MyTuner Radio apps. There will be no over-the-air radio broadcast of the weekend series.
Will Kinzeler (3-1, 3.40), a sophomore right-hander from Covington, Louisiana, draws the Lions' starting assignment in the series opener opposite McNeese right-hander Grant Rogers (4-3, 3.86). Kinzeler leads the Southland in innings pitched (55.2) while ranking fourth in ERA and sixth in strikeouts (43). Rogers ranks third in strikeouts (5), fifth in innings pitched (49.0) and sixth in ERA.
Adam Guth (1-1, 5.11), a freshman left-hander from Lake Charles, takes the ball Saturday for SLU.
McNeese has not settled on a starting pitcher for Saturday's game and neither team announced a starting pitcher for the series finale.
After sweeping New Orleans to win the Pontchartrain Bowl this past weekend, Southeastern rallied for a walk-off win Tuesday over South Alabama.

Champ Artigues (.269) and
Tyler Finke (.261) pace Southeastern at the plate. Faulkner leads the squad with 21 extra-base hits, including a Southland-leading 11 home runs to go along with 38 RBIs. The RBI total ranks second in the conference.
Tyler Finke is tops on the team with 12 stolen bases. Both
Rhett Rosevear (24) and the Lions (82) as a team are the national leaders in HBPs.
McNeese had a four-game winning streak snapped Wednesday, falling at ULM, 4-3, in 10 innings.
Brad Burckel (.358), Payton Harden (.356), Braden Duhon (.339) and Kade Hunter (.337) are the Cowboys' leading hitters. Julian Gonzales. 16 extra-base hits and 25 RBIs are tops on the ballclub while Kade Morris has hit a team-high six home runs. With a team-leading 16 stolen bases, Harden is one of four players with double-digit steals.
