KERRVILLE, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team finished in third place in the final team standings Tuesday at the Big Texan Invitational at Comanche Trace Golf Course in Kerrville, Texas.
 
The tournament featured tough course conditions during the final round with winds swirling up to 30 miles per hour. No one in the 60-player field shot better than even par Tuesday.
 
However, SLU managed their third straight finish in the top four in the final team standings. The Lions placed fourth at the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate back on March 1 and won the Colin Montgomerie Invitational last Tuesday.
 
Southeastern's Cameron Mobley and Charlie Forster both finished tied for 10th in the final individual standings at +3.
 
Grayson Gloriso led the Lions Tuesday shooting a final round of 75 (+3). Glorioso was tied for 22^nd in the standings at +8 for the three rounds.
 
Despite Gloriso's efforts, SLU combined for just seven birdies in the final round, two from Mobley, Forster and Logan Kuehn and one from Glorioso.
 
"In the end, third isn't bad," said SLU head golf coach Jake Narro. "And all spring long we have been in contention to win each tournament. Unfortunately, today, we didn't do the little things right to win. Everybody could have saved a shot here or there that could have made a difference. It went our way last weekend (at Colin Montgomerie Invitational) but not this time."
 
Southeastern shot +21 for the tournament, +23 for the final round. Seton Hall claimed the team championship, shooting +12. North Colorado's T.J. Shehee won the individual title shooting -4 for the 54 holes.
 
Next up, Southeastern will compete in the LaTour Intercollegiate hosted by Nicholls Monday, March 28 in Matthews, Louisiana.
