Autograph Signing to be Held Immediately Postgame

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team comes home on Wednesday night for its final game before Southland Conference play arrives with the Lions welcome the Belhaven Blazers to the University Center with a postgame autograph signing taking place right after the final buzzer.

Southeastern (4-5) looks to end its first two-game skid of the season after dropping both ends of a two-game road trip out in Ohio last week. Both Matthew Strange, 16 points at Xavier, and Christian Agnew, 20 points at Dayton, put up season highs in those games.

Boogie Anderson continues to lead the Lions in scoring, averaging 12.1 points per game. Agnew's 20-point game against the Flyers has him back in double-digit scoring average for the season at 11.1. Roscoe Eastmond rounds out the SLU players averaging double figures at 10.5 points per game. Nine total Lions currently average more than six points per game this season. Southeastern currently shoots 44.2% on the season and 37.7% from above the three-point arc on the year. This is the final tune-up game for Southeastern before the first Southland Conference game of the season on the schedule, which takes place next week at Nicholls.

Belhaven (3-3) is coming off of a game on Monday night where it turned a four-point halftime deficit into a 30-point win in a 91-61 victory over Pensacola Christian. Jordan Marshall led the Blazers in their win on Monday, scoring 20 points, grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out four assists, a block, and a steal. Martavin McWilliams was just one rebound shy of a double-double as he scored 12 points and grabbed nine boards. Donovan Givens also scored 12 points while Judah Jordan added 11. 15 players saw action in the game with 12 scoring in the contest.

Marshall leads the Blazers by averaging 27.7 points per game on 48.5% shooting this season. Jordan is Belhaven's lone other double-figure scorer on the season, averaging 11 points a contest. The Blazers shoot 42.1% as a team on the year and 33.3% from deep. They average 68.5 points per game as a team and hold opponents to just 65.5 points. Wednesday's game will be an exhibition for Belhaven, who is a member of NCAA Division III and plays in the Collegiate Conference of the South.

Tip-off of Wednesday's game between the Lions and Blazers is set for 7:00 P.M. in the University Center. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Postgame, fans can stick around and get their favorite SLU player's autographs.
