HAMMOND, LA. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball team will be at home to face Dillard Friday night at 7 p.m. in the University center
The Lady Lions (3-2) will be at home for the first time since the season opener this weekend to face off against Dillard (3-6) after their victory over South Alabama this past Tuesday
SLU started out their season with a win against LSUA for the season opener and then went on an eight-day trip out west to play Utah State where they were able to take home a 78-68 victory and fell to both Utah 99-62, and to San Diego State 69-53 before coming back home to break the losing streak with a win over USA 64-40.
Southeastern has had some standout performers on the hardwood, including freshmen so far this season.
Taylor Bell, a sophomore out of Shreveport led the Lady Lions against USA in scoring with 17 points, while
Chrissy Brown led in rebounds with 10.
Freshman
Jalencia Pierre has also done well on the hardwood as she has 18 assists in the last five games.
Dillard is coming off of a five-game losing streak as they finished out their most recent game with a 71-58 loss to Xavier this past Monday. Shylia McGee led the Bleu Devils with 20 points. Their last
