HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team wraps up its five-game road trip, looking to build off a big win last Sunday, with a trio of games at the Appalachian State Multi-Team Event starting with Kennesaw State on Friday, Campbell on Saturday, and wrap things up against the host institution Appalachian State on Sunday with all games in Boone, N.C. at the Holmes Convocation Center.
The Lions (2-1) are hoping to continue the momentum from Sunday's 76-72 road win at Wyoming, a team that was dancing last March. Since entering the line-up during the previous game against Colorado State,
Christian Agnew has been Southeastern's top threat, averaging 14.5 points per game on 42.9% shooting. He scored a team-high 15 points in the win over the Cowboys.
Boogie Anderson averages 10 points per game, the lone other SLU player averaging double-figures in scoring, while also leading the team in assists by averaging four-plus in the three games so far. Southeastern has used a very balanced scoring attack through the early part of this season as nine players currently average more than five points per game.

Brody Rowbury averages 8.7,
Roger McFarlane and
Sami Pissis are both at 7.7 points, Nick Coldwell averaged 6.7 per and
Alec Woodard scores 5.3 per game
McFarlane is the best on the boards for Southeastern on the young season, averaging 7.3 rebounds per game after grabbing 10 of them in the win over Wyoming. Woodard, Rowbury, and Agnew all average between three and four rebounds per contest.
On Friday afternoon, SLU opens its play in the Appalachian State MTE by taking on Kennesaw State. The Owls (2-1) have won their two home games this season, but dropped its lone road game this year, an 88-78 defeat to Florida in Gainesville. In their most recent game, a 95-36 win over NAIA school Brewton-Parker, three players scored 15 points each for game-high scoring honors, Chris Youngblood, Simeon Cottle, and Quincy Ademokoya.
Youngblood is KSU's leading scorer on the season, averaging 18.3 points per game while Cottle averages 11.3 points and Terrell Burden puts in 11 a game. Tip-off against the Owls is set for 4:00 P.M. EST/3:00 P.M. CST. Friday's game against Kennesaw State will not have a video live stream, but a radio stream will be available on the SLU athletics website.
Saturday, Southeastern will take on the Camels of Campbell. The Camels (1-1) enter the Appalachian State MTE off a 73-67 loss at North Carolina State and open the event Friday night against the host Appalachian State. Ricky Clemons led the Camels in the loss against the Wolfpack with 18 points, eight assists, and six rebounds. Jesus Carrallero scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and was credited with five assists. Joshua Lusane capped the leading scorers in that game for Campbell with 11 points.
Clemons is the Camels leading scorer on the year, averaging 15.5 points per game and grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game. Carrallero is the lone other double-figure scorer on the season for Campbell, averaging 10 points to go with 5.5 rebounds a game. SLU's game against Campbell is Saturday and also scheduled for 4:00 P.M. EST/3:00 P.M. CST, and much like the game against Kennesaw State, there will be no video live stream of the contest, but a radio stream will be available on the SLU website.
Southeastern rounds out the event on Sunday afternoon against the host institution, Appalachian State. The Mountaineers (3-0) enter their home event coming off of a 61-60 road win over Louisville and play Campbell on Friday night and Kennesaw State on Saturday night before Sunday's game. In the win over the Cardinals, Donovan Gregory led Appalachian State with 16 points while Tyree Boykin finished with 14 points and Terence Harcum dropped in 10. Tamell Pearson grabbed nine rebounds in that contest.
Four Mountaineers average in double-figures heading into the weekend, led by Boykin's 16 points per game. Gregory and Harcum each average 12.7 points per game while CJ Huntley averages 10 points a game. Sunday's game against App State is set for 2:30 P.M. EST/1:30 P.M. CST and will be streamed on ESPN+.
