HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team dropped the last match of the regular season 3-0 to NSU on Friday night.
While Southeastern (7-6-3, 5-4-3 SLC) held Northwestern State (11-3-3, 8-2-2 SLC) to no goals in the first half of the
match, the scoreless match would end up being a 3-0 shutout in the Lady Demons' favor.
Olivia Draguicevich scored the first goal for NSU in the 47
th minute of the match with an assist by Gracie Armstrong.
The second goal was made by Draguicevich and Armstrong in the 85
th minute of the match.
The Lady Lions were unable to get any shots on goal throughout the early part of the second half.
The third and final goal of the night was made by Draguicevich with an assist by Natalee Henry.
Maycie Massingill was able to get to the net and have a shot on goal but it was saved by Chloe Deshazer in the 89
th minute.
Hailie Yoder had a shot while Massingill had a shot and a shot on goal.
Olivia Griffin had five saves.
Draguicevich had six shots and led NSU with three goals and six shots. Deshazer had one save throughout the match.
Southeastern's next match will be played in the Southland Conference Tournament on Nov. 2
nd. Time and opponent are yet to be announced.
