Southeastern Travels to Northwestern State for Regular Season Finale

HAMMOND, LA.-  The Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team travels to Natchitoches, Louisiana to take on Northwestern State at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Southeastern's (7-5-3, 5-3-3 SLC) last meeting with NSU (2-6-1, 0-2 SLC) this season ended in a 0-0 tie. Both teams thought they had a goal each during that match, but both would be wiped away due to being offsides.

Since then, the Lady Lions had three losses, two ties and three wins added to their record, one being a massive win against McNeese 5-1 last Sunday which earned Olivia Griffin her second Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week. Southeastern is coming off of a two-match win streak going into the matchup Friday.
 
Northwestern added six wins, one loss and a tie to their record since their last meeting with Southeastern and are currently on a five-match win streak as they will be finishing out the regular season against Southeastern,
 
Oliva Draguicevich leads the Lady Demons with nine goals and two assists and 22 shots on goal. Chloe DeShazer has 35 saves and has only allowed 11 goals all season.
 
Mya Guillory leads Southeastern with six goals five assists and 14 shots on goal. She also has five assists and has scored six goals this season. Griffin has 52 saves with a 1.12 goals against average.
 
Southeastern will round out regular season play Friday evening and head into the Southland Conference Soccer Tournament that begins Wednesday Nov. 2nd.
