HAMMOND, La. – ?The Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team hit the road to face Nicholls in Thibodaux Friday at 7 p.m. then come back home to face McNeese for Senior Day Sunday at 5 p.m.
Sunday's match against McNeese (13-5-2, 9-2-1 SLC) and Southeastern (5-5-3, 3-3-3 SLC) and McNeese will be streamed on ESPN+ and stats can be accessed on www.LionSports.net.
Also Sunday, Southeastern will honor Victoria Brackmann, Hanna Moffat, Sophie Wendt, Makenzie Maher, Dalton Fish, Darby Gillette, and Claire Huston prior to the match in a Senior Day Ceremony.
Southeastern defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 2-1 Friday night, ending their five-match winless streak, only to come home and be defeated by HCU 2-0 Sunday in Strawberry Stadium.
SLU is led by Mya Guillory who has 19 shots with eight shots on goal and three goals on the season. Emma Jones follows behind with two goals and three assists.
Olivia Griffin has a total of 34 saves and a 1.34 goals against average on the season.
Nicholls is currently 2-14-1 overall and 0-10 in conference and will be coming into the match with a nine-match losing streak. It's last match was against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi which resulted in a 4-0 shutout in the Islanders' favor.
Rami Mitchell leads the Lady Colonels with 13 shots and three shots on goal while freshman Jemma Catherwood leads with two goals.
Nicholls goalkeeper Reagan Carter has 58 saves on the season and a 2.97 goals against average.
To finish out the weekend, SLU will face off against McNeese who is coming off of a 3-0 shutout victory over UIW last Sunday. The Cowgirls are led by Rachel Young who has 20 shots and 11 shots on goal with five goals on the season.
Jackie Kelly leads McNeese with 36 saves and a 1.77 goals against average.
Coming up, Southeastern will travel to Natchitoches, Louisiana to face off against Northwestern State in its last regular season match on Oct. 28th at 7 p.m.
