HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team returns home for a pair of matches this week, looking to keep its undefeated record at home in tact with a pair of stiff challenges from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday night and Houston Christian on Saturday afternoon at the University Center.
 
The Lady Lions (15-6, 5-4 SLC) are looking to end a two-match skid this weekend as they come home to the University Center where they enter the week 7-0 on the season. SLU looks to get even more contribution from two of their biggest arms who are getting back into action after missing some time in Cicily Hidalgo and Karlee Wilkerson. Hidalgo and Wilkerson have the second and third highest kills per set average on the team at 3.39 and 2.1, respectively, behind Kailin Newsome's team-leading 3.91 kills per set average.
 
On Thursday night, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi comes to town with SLU looking to close out a season sweep of the Islanders. The Lady Lions knocked off the Islanders (7-16, 7-2 SLC) in straight sets in Corpus Christi back on September 24^th. Cicily Hidalgo led the Lady Lions with 13 kills in that match.
 
Kyndal Payne continues to lead the Islanders on the season with 3.59 kills per set while Leah Stolfus averages 2.75 kills per set.
 
Saturday, it'll be Houston Christian coming to town as the Lady Lions try to earn the split with the Huskies. HCU (15-7, 7-2 SLC) knocked off SLU in straight sets back on September 22^nd. Kailin Newsome led SLU in that match with 12 kills in the match in Houston.
 
Anna Gadway leads the Huskies on the season with 3.13 kills per set while Sara Arroyo averages 3.01 kills per set.
 
Thursday's match against the Islanders is set for 6:30 P.M. while Saturday's match against the Huskies is set for 1:00 P.M. with both happening inside the University Center. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
