Southeastern Ranked 25th Heading Into Bye Week

SLU (3-3, 1-1 SLC) travels to Jacksonville State Oct. 22 for a 1 p.m. contest

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football team heads into its bye week ranked 25th in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 which was released on Monday.
 
SLU (3-3, 1-1 SLC) dropped six spots in the Stats Perform poll after a 31-28 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce last Saturday. The Lions fell from 20th in the AFCA FCS Coaches poll to among those receiving votes.
 
Southeastern is one of two Southland Conference schools in the top 25. UIW is ranked No. 8 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and 10th in the AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25.
 
This coming Saturday's bye comes at the midway point of the season and following a four-game Southeastern home stand. SLU will close out the 2022 season with four of its final five games of the regular season on the road.
 
The stretch opens next Saturday, Oct. 22, as the Lions close out nonconference play with a 1 p.m. contest at Jacksonville State. The contest with the Gamecocks will be televised on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM, The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM).
