HAMMOND, La. – Due to the impacts of Hurricane Ida on the Southeastern Louisiana University campus, the No. 15/17 SLU football team has moved its 2021 season opener on Saturday to North Alabama.
The game was originally scheduled for Hammond. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Braly Stadium in Florence, Alabama. The game will air on ESPN+ and admission to the game will be $10.
Southeastern will now open the 2021 season with three consecutive nonconference road contests. The Lions are scheduled to open their 2021 home schedule on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m., hosting Southland Conference rival Northwestern State at Strawberry Stadium.
