HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team returns to action this week with three Southland Conference matches on the schedule.
Southeastern (5-3, 3-2 Southland) opens the slate Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. against Lamar (1-10, 1-5 Southland) in Beaumont, Texas. The Lady Lions then return home for matches Thursday at 7 p.m. against Abilene Christian (5-3, 4-2 Southland) and Saturday at 10 a.m. against Stephen F. Austin (18-4, 6-0 Southland) in the University Center.
Free food for Southeastern students will be provided while it lasts at Thursday's match.

The Lady Lions, who last played on Feb. 27, have won their last two matches, picking up road wins at Northwestern State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Southeastern is led by two-time Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Kailin Newsome (4.00 kills per set) along with
Ryan Maddera (2.13 k/set) and
Sam Gomez (2.12 k/set).
Calli Collins (5.31 assists per set) and
Ariana Hebert (4.27 a/set) direct the Lady Lions' 6- 2 system from the setter position.
Gomez (0.82 blocks per set) and
Crispin Adams (0.79 b/set) lead Southeastern's frontline defense at the net, while
Ansley Tullis (4.21 digs per set),
Lizzy Low (2.78 d/set) and Newsome (2.58 d/set) lend support along the end line.
Lamar has dropped back-to-back matches.
Kayla Neumann (2.95 k/set) and Kaitlyn Gil (2.74 k/set) are the Cardinals' top attackers while Hannah Waters (6.89 a/set) leads the squad in assists.
Tytiana Johnson (0.68 b/set) and Bre'Ala Box (0.63 b/set) are Lamar's top blocking threats. Giselle Santini (3.89 d/set) and Sam Swayze (3.79 d/set) are the top defenders on the end line.
Abilene Christian had its three-match winning streak snapped last time out, Feb. 27 at SFA.
Katelyn Mueller (4.06 k/set), Kate Blasingame (2.14 k/set) and Breanna Box (2.00 k/set) are the Wildcats' top attackers. Madison Rohre (4.94 a/set) and Sarah Nading (4.53 a/set) split setting duties.
Braden Bossier (1.17 b/set) and Lindsey Toney (0.91 b/set) are Abilene Christian's top blocking threats. Mackenzie Harris (4.50 d/set), Mueller (2.68 d/set) and Blasingame (2.38 d/set) are the top defenders on the end line.
The Ladyjacks have won eight in a row.
Leah Powell (2.57 k/set) and Payton Cerny (2.47 k/set) are SFA's top attackers. Allie Hamsher (4.89 a/set) and Maddy Bourque (4.68 a/set) split the setting duties.
Ashley Procious (1.02 b/set) and Taya Mitchell (0.80 b/set) are the Ladyjacks' top blocking threats. Madelynn Miller (4.52 b/set) and Ariana Pagan (2.62 b/set) are the top defenders on the end line.

SOCIAL DISTANCING ON GAMEDAYS
Proper social distancing techniques are required at all athletic events. Fans are asked to maintain a minimum distance of six feet from others, wear a face covering over both their nose and mouth, and wash their hands frequently. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout Southeastern's athletic facilities.
While tailgating is currently prohibited, current health and safety guidelines set forth by state and local officials due to the COVID-19 pandemic allow for 25 percent capacity at athletic events. Capacity will be adjusted as state guidelines allow.
