HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana football team remains ranked nationally in both the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and the AFCA FCS Coaches Top 25 this week.
The Lions (2-2, 2-2 Southland) were off last week and head into the final two games of the spring regular season still ranked among the nation's best.
In the Stats Perform FCS poll, the Lions slipped two spots to No. 25. Of the seven Southland Conference schools playing football this spring, four are ranked nationally, as the Lions are joined in the top 25 by No. 5 Sam Houston, No. 13 Nicholls and No. 20 UIW.
SLU maintained its No. 22 ranking in the AFCA poll, which also featured a quartet of Southland squads. SHSU (No. 5), Nicholls (No. 11) and UIW (No. 18) are all listed Iin the poll.
