HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana wraps up the regular season with a Southland Conference match at 12 p.m. Saturday against Central Arkansas at the Farris Center in Conway, Arkansas.
The Lady Lions (11-3, 9-2 Southland) are currently tied for second place in the Southland standings with Sam Houston (9-2, 9-2 Southland), one game back of Stephen F. Austin (22-5, 10-1 Southland).
Winners of eight straight, Southeastern still has an opportunity to claim a share of the conference title. A Southeastern win over UCA (9-7, 7-4 Southland) coupled with an SFA loss Saturday would give the Lady Lions a share of the title. A Southeastern win coupled with losses by both SFA and Sam Houston would give the Lady Lions a share of the conference title along with the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Southland Conference Tournament.
Southeastern, which has guaranteed itself a winning season for the first time in nearly two decades and a spot in the conference tournament for the second time in as many seasons, could finish the regular season anywhere from first to fifth in the Southland standings.
UCA will provide live stats for the match in addition to a video stream. Media links can be found on the volleyball schedule page at www.LionSports.net.
