BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana men's golf team claimed a share of the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Title while sophomore
Cameron Mobley finished runner up Tuesday at Diamondhead Country Club (par 72-6,769 yards).

The Lions finished tied with UT-Martin at +13 after two rounds as the final round was canceled due to inclement weather.

Mobley, out of Brandon, Mississippi, finished the tournament -2 behind Central Arkansas's Nate Jolly (-4). Mobley had a one-shot lead through 15 holes of the final round but due to the weather cancelation, all third-round results were wiped away.

Mobley finished the tournament officially shooting 68 (-4) in the first round and 74 (+2) in the second round. However, was shooting even par through 15 holes of the final round and up one shot. The Rankin HS grad finished with seven birdies, one bogey and two double bogeys.

"Cameron did everything good," said SLU golf head coach
Jake Narro. "He drove it well and made all the important putts and that's how you score in tournaments. His confidence should be soaring going into the next tournament."

Southeastern's
Logan Kuehn and
William Meyers both finished in the top 10 to help the Lions claim a share of the title.

Kuehn, a senior, finished +2 for the tournament. The Lake Charles, Louisiana native shot a 74 (+2) in the first round and an even par 72 in the second round to take home seventh place.

Meyers, out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, shot 75 (+3) in the first round. The senior then battled back strong in the second round finishing with an even par 72 on four bogeys, two birdies and an eagle wrapping up the tournament at +3 for ninth place.
"We finished off the second round (yesterday) in style," said Narro. "And that propelled us to being champions. So, we deserve to be on that podium."
