Mobley Finishes Tied for Seventh, Glorioso Drills Hole-In-One at TVA Invitational

Lions's Sophomore Duo Both Shoot 71

Final Results

KILLEN, Ala. – Cameron Mobley shot a final round 71 (-1) to finish in seventh place while Grant Glorioso sunk a hole-in-one on the par 3 sixth hole (194 yards) for the Southeastern Louisiana University golf team Tuesday in the final round of the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational at the Turtle Pointe Yacht and Country Club.

Mobley, a sophomore, was terrific as he had four birdies while scattering three bogeys during the final round. The Brandon, Mississippi native finished the tournament even par after an opening round 72 (even), second round 73 (+1) and Tuesday's 71.

"I was expecting Cam to play well and he didn't disappoint," said SLU head coach Jake Narro. "He was fantastic all day long."

The result marked Mobley second top 10 finish of his career after placing runner up at the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate March 2nd of this year.

Glorioso, however, had the highlight of the day. The Lions sophomore pin-pointed a 6-iron from 194 outs on the par-3 16th hole for a hole in one. The Metairie, Louisiana native to shoot a career-best 71 (-1). Glorioso had an eventful path as he had four birdies, two bogeys and a triple bogey before turning in a 71 to the clubhouse.

"Grayson played well all day long," said Narro. "He probably got a little lucky on the hole in one but he also got a bad break on the triple bogey hole. But other than that, he was solid all day."

Southeastern finished in sixth place while North Alabama, the host team, won the team championship. UT-Martin's Tate Chumley won the individual title shooting -7 for the 54 holes including a final round 68 (-4).

Tuesday concludes SLU's fall schedule as they won't be in action again until the spring when they compete in the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Monday, Feb. 28th in Diamondhead, Mississippi.
"We played some good golf this fall, but not enough" said Narro. "We had an injury or two along with the hurricane so that didn't help. But our guys still went out there and played and competed. But we can't wait for the spring."
