Leaderboard

KILLEN, Ala. –
Cameron Mobley continued his consistent play for the Southeastern Louisiana University golf team as he is tied for 11th place at +1 after the first and second rounds of the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational Monday at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club (par 72-7,133 yards).

Mobley, a sophomore, opened the tournament at the sixth hole and shot -1 through the first nine holes with six pars, two birdies and a bogey. After bogeys on two of the next four holes, the Brandon, Mississippi native bounced back with birdies on the par 4 409-yard first hole and the par 4 387-yard fourth hole to close the round at 72 (even par).

In the second round, Mobley had to rally from a tough start as he bogeyed three of his first four holes. However, the Lions' second ranked player came storming back as he finished the round with 12 pars and two birdies over the final 14 holes. Mobley finished the second round at 73 (+1) as he will enter Tuesday's final round just one shot out of the top 10.

Mobley, in 19 career rounds for SLU, has a stroke average of 74.74 including a career low round of 68 back on March 1 of this at the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate.

SLU's Kris Kerr also had a solid day. The Lions' senior shot +4 for the day shooting 74 (+2) in both the first and second rounds. The Loranger, Louisiana native is tied for 18th place.

"Both Cam and Kris really played well today," said SLU head golf coach Jake Narro. "Cam has been playing well but Kris had not had the results until today.  But he has been working hard and he finally got the good results today and it was well deserved. I expect both of them to play well tomorrow."

North Alabama, the host team, leads the team standings shooting +2 after 36 holes. Valparaiso's Caleb VanArragon has the individual lead at -5.

The final round begins Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. as Mobley and Kerr try to make their way up the leaderboard.
