HAMMOND, La. – With just four regular season matches remaining, the Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team hosts Houston Baptist University Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Strawberry Stadium on ESPN+.

The Lady Lions (5-6-2, 3-3-2 Southland) have played well of late with just one loss in their last seven matches (4-1-2). SLU hasn't allowed more than one goal in the last nine matches dating back to a 3-2 loss at UL Lafayette on Sept. 3rd.

Southeastern is coming off a hard fought weekend at home against McNeese (6-1-1 Southland) and Northwestern State (6-1-1 Southland), the league's top two teams in the Southland standings. The Lady Lions tied McNeese, 1-1, back on Oct. 8th before falling to Northwestern 1-0 on Oct. 10th.

Southeastern is led by sophomore Makenzie Maher who leads the team with four goals. Junior Mya Guillory heads the Lady Lions in points with eight, including two goals and dishing out four assists.

SLU enters Sunday's match half a game behind HBU (4-8-3, 4-3-2 Southland) in the conference standings. The Huskies are coming off a 3-0 win Friday night on the road against Nicholls.

The Huskies are paced by forwards Noor Abukishk and Ryan Ford with nine points each. Abukishk leads the HBU with three goals while Ford has five assists.

Historically, HBU has had the upper hand leading the all-time series over SLU 7-3-2. However, SLU has won the last three matches over the Huskies including a 2-0 win earlier this season.

Sunday's match will be streamed via ESPN+ with links to the match available at the Southeastern soccer schedule page located at LionSports.Net.
