HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana men's basketball team wraps up their three-game homestand Saturday afternoon when they host the University of New Orleans at 4 p.m. in the University Center.
 
The Lions (5-11, 3-4 Southland) are 1-1 on the current homestand which includes a 73-68 loss to Northwestern State Saturday and a win over Central Arkansas, 69-57, Wednesday night.
 
SLU's Isiah Kirby led the Lions in Saturday's win over UCA. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. Southeastern broke a 57-57 tie with 3:23 to go by finishing the game on a 12-0 run.
 
Southeastern's Keon Clergeot continues to lead the team in scoring averaging 15.3 points per game. The UMass transfer has scored 15 or more points in 10 of the Lions' 15 games and also leads the Southland in free throws made (94) and attempted (121).
 
Junior Gus Okafor, averaging 10.7 points for the season, has come on strong of late for the Lions. Out of Baltimore, Maryland, Okafor is averaging 18.3 points in his last three games on 46 percent (19-for-41) shooting.
 
The Privateers (4-11, 3-4 Southland) enter Saturday's contest coming off back-to-back losses, both on the road, to Nicholls and Northwestern State. UNO, the 2017 Southland Conference regular season and tournament champions, are 0-9 on the road thus far this season.
 
UNO is led by senior guard Damion Rosser in scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.5). Troy Green, a preseason second team All-Southland selection is second, scoring 14.7 points snatching 5.5 rebounds per game.
 
The Privateers lead the all-time series over the Lions, 15-7, including a season sweep last year of SLU. However, Southeastern is 6-4 in their last games against UNO.
 
SLU and UNO go into Saturday's showdown in a three-way tie for sixth in the Southland conference standings with Northwestern State, a half-game behind University of Incarnate Word (6-7, 3-3 Southland).
