HAMMOND, La. –  The Southeastern Louisiana men's basketball team's home opener with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, scheduled for Jan. 2, has been postponed, due to COVID-19 protocols within the A&M-Corpus Christi program.
 
The Lions (2-6) have played their first eight games of the season on the road and are set to face Lamar in non-conference action Tuesday night on the road at 7 p.m.
 
With Saturday's cancelation, SLU's is slate to open their home schedule Wednesday, Jan. 6 against Sam Houston State (5-5) at 7 p.m.
 
No makeup date between the Lions and Islanders has been announced as of early Sunday morning.
