Renewal deadline is January 28

1/21/2020 1:47:00 PM

HAMMOND, La. – As the deadline to renew baseball and softball season tickets approaches, Southeastern Louisiana Athletics invites fans to a Season Ticket Appreciation event Monday, Feb. 3, in the Victory Club at Strawberry Stadium.

An exclusive event open to 2020 baseball and softball season ticket holders only, doors open at 5:30 p.m. for season ticket pickup and light refreshments. Fans wishing to purchase season tickets will have an opportunity to do so before entering the event.

Head baseball coach Matt Riser and head softball coach Rick Fremin will speak at 6 p.m. Select student-athletes from both teams will be on hand to sign autographs.

General admission and family packs are currently available for new purchases. Fans wishing to purchase new reserved seats may join a waiting list.

The deadline for current season ticket holders to renew their packages for the 2020 Southeastern Louisiana baseball and softball seasons is Tuesday, Jan. 28, at noon. After that date, all reserved tickets will be made available for purchase.

New purchases of season tickets for both baseball and softball will continue through Monday, Feb. 17. Season ticket packages represent a saving on the price of individuals tickets, including selected pricing for this season's Mississippi State contests.

Pricing for baseball season tickets includes $175 for reserved seats and $130 for general admission. A family plan that includes two adult and two youth (ages 3-12) general admission tickets is available for $250.

Softball season tickets include packages for reserved chairbacks ($80) or general admission ($60) seats.

A 30-game home slate at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field includes nonconference games against stalwarts Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech, UL Lafayette, South Alabama and Tulane.

The Lion baseball program has averaged nearly 38 wins per season during Matt Riser's six-year tenure as head coach. That sustained success has allowed Southeastern to continually establish attendance records at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field, drawing a Southland Conference-leading average of 1,252 fans per game in 2019.

Rick Fremin's softball squad led the nation in steals for the third time in four years in 2019, swiping a school and conference-record 227 bases. The Lady Lions return 18 letter winners off last season's 34-23 squad.

A 23-game home softball schedule begins Feb. 7 with Southeastern hosting games against Buffalo and Alabama State at North Oak Park. High profile opponents making the trek to Hammond include Mississippi State and UL Lafayette.
