HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana rolls into the stretch run of its regular-season schedule, making a push for its first Southland Conference Tournament bid in three seasons. Next up for Southeastern is an 11 a.m. conference match Saturday at the University Center against Central Arkansas.
The Lady Lions (12-13, 6-5 Southland) enter the match sixth in the conference standings, one game ahead of tournament-host Central Arkansas (11-13, 5-6 Southland) and two ahead of eighth-place Nicholls (10-12, 4-7 Southland) with five matches remaining. The top eight teams in the regular-season standings qualify for the tournament, scheduled for Nov. 22-24 in Conway, Arkansas.
Admission to Saturday's match is free. Fans are asked to enter the University Center upstairs at Gate 3. Lady Lion volleyball posters and magnet schedules will also be available in the Fan Zone.

NOTEWORTHY
- Jodi Edo a senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, ranks second in the Southland in solo blocks (22), third in attack percentage (.319) and fourth in both total blocks (86).
- Edo (2.75 k/set), Caroline Golden (2.52 k/set) and Sam Gomez (2.44 k/set) are Southeastern's top attackers.
- Baylee Laskoskie, a freshman from Spring, Texas, ranks fifth in the Southland with 8.82 assists per set.
- Golden, a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana, ranks third in service aces (0.40 sa/set).
- Alexis Pratt (3.03 d/set), Lizzy Low (2.70 d/set), Golden (2.62 d/set) and Jolie Hidalgo (2.49 d/set) represent the Lady Lions' top defenders along the back line.
- Against conference competition, the Lady Lions have allowed the fourth-fewest kills (11.98 k/set) and the fourth-lowest opponent attack percentage (.184).

Southeastern heads back out on the road for the final time during the 2019 regular season, playing conference matches Thursday at McNeese (9-14, 2-9 Southland) and Nov. 9 at Lamar (8-13, 3-8 Southland). The Lady Lions return to the University Center the following week, wrapping up the regular season by hosting Nicholls, Nov. 12, and Sam Houston State (12-11, 8-3 Southland), Nov. 16.
LAST MATCH
Edo led all players in kills and blocks as Southeastern swept past New Orleans in Southland action Tuesday, 26-24, 25-9, 25-21, at the University Center.
Gomez, a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana, added eight kills and three blocks for the Lady Lions.
Karlee Wilkerson, a sophomore from Springfield, Louisiana, chipped in seven kills and a pair of blocks.
Laskoskie dished out 33 assists and Low, a freshman from Lafayette, Louisiana, served up a pair of aces. Pratt and Golden both led the team with nine digs apiece.
