HAMMOND, La. – Nine members of the Southeastern Louisiana softball team were among the over 8,000 student-athletes who were named 2018-19 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes, the NFCA announced on Wednesday.
Representing Southeastern were
Amberlyn Alfano,
Cameron Beal,
Hannah Blackford,
Mima Doucet,
Ali McCoy,
Alley McDonald,
Rebecca Skains,
Madison Watson and
Tanner Wright.
To be named an Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete, a player must have maintained a 3.50 GPA for 2018-19 academic year. Beal, McCoy, Skains and Wright are each repeat selections for SLU.
Southeastern was also ranked among the top team GPA's in the nation. The Lady Lions combined for a 3.28 team GPA in 2018-19.
