HAMMOND, La. – In the first of three matches this week, Southeastern Louisiana hosts Southern in the annual Dig the Lions promotion Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the University Center.
The first 150 Southeastern students in attendance for Tuesday's nonconference contest against Southern (7-14) will receive free pulled pork sandwiches and chips courtesy of Mariner's Inn.
Admission to the match is free. Fans are asked to enter the University Center upstairs at Gate 3. Lady Lion volleyball posters and magnet schedules will be available in the Fan Zone.
The new Southeastern Sports Network will offer a free video stream of the match. Tune in online at www.LionSports.net or the Lions' Gameday Experience app for Android or iOS devices. Fans can also watch on Southeastern's YouTube channel (/SLUathletics) with any mobile, tablet or smart TV device (e.g., Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Android TV and Roku).
Returning to Southland Conference action, the Lady Lions (8-11, 3-3 Southland) wrap up the week with matches Thursday at 7 p.m. at Abilene Christian (4-12, 2-4 Southland) and 1 p.m. Saturday at Stephen F. Austin (18-1, 6-0 Southland). Live stats will be available for both matches.

- Jodi Edo (.299) and Sam Gomez (.295) rank fourth and sixth in the Southland in attack percentage, respectively.
- Edo (2.73 k/set), Caroline Golden (2.49 k/set) and Gomez (2.26 k/set) are Southeastern's top attackers.
- Baylee Laskoskie ranks seventh in the Southland with 7.90 assists per set.
- Golden, a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana, ranks fourth in service aces (0.41 sa/set).
- Edo, a senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is fourth in the Southland with 1.00 blocks per set.
- Alexis Pratt (3.33 d/set), Golden (2.57 d/set), Jolie Hidalgo (2.28 d/set) and Lizzy Low (2.22 d/set) represent the Lady Lions' top defenders along the back line.
- Against conference competition, the Lady Lions rank fourth in service aces (1.57 sa/set) and have the fourth-lowest opponent attack percentage (.172).

Southeastern remains on the road next week, facing conference matchups, Oct. 24, at Houston Baptist and, Oct. 26, at Incarnate Word. The Lady Lions return home for their Geaux Pink match, Oct. 29, against New Orleans at the University Center.
LAST MATCH
Northwestern State fought off a late rally Thursday by Southeastern, claiming a Southland Conference match in straight sets, 25-22, 25-15, 28-26, in front of a season-high 1,500 fans at the University Center.
Edo led the Lady Lions with 12 kills and a pair of solo blocks. Gomez chipped in 11 kills, a pair of block assists and led all players (with at least four attempts per set) with a .429 attack percentage.
Laskoskie handed out a match-high 33 assists and
Lizzy Low, a freshman from Lafayette, Louisiana, served up three aces. Pratt (11) and Low (10) both contributed double-digit dig totals.
