NEW ORLEANS, La. – Southeastern Louisiana fell Saturday in straight sets at the University of New Orleans, 25-19, 25-23, 25-20, in a Southland Conference match at the Human Performance Center.
The Lady Lions (1-14, 0-4 Southland) were led offensively against UNO (10-9, 4-1 Southland) by
Sam Gomez. The native of Mandeville, Louisiana recorded a team-high eight kills and season-best .462 attack percentage.
Elyssa Purcell (Alvin, Texas) chipped in seven, while
Jodi Edo (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and
Caroline Golden (Mandeville) each contributed six kills.
Haley Baker (Elkton, Maryland) dished out a team-high 14 assists and
Michelle Mirarchi (Plano, Texas) handed out an additional 11 for the Lady Lions.
Gomez had a hand in both Southeastern blocks, including a solo block in the third set, and served up the squad's only ace.
Lexie Torres (San Antonio, Texas) contributed a team-leading eight digs each to the defensive effort.
