BEAUMONT, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana wrapped up its 2018 season Saturday, dropping a Southland Conference match at Lamar in straight sets, 25-21, 25-17, 25-18, at McDonald Gym.
Lamar (7-20, 4-12 Southland) salvaged a split of the season series with the Lady Lions (2-27, 1-15 Southland), having lost Oct. 11 at Southeastern.
Elyssa Purcell, with 11 kills, and
Haley Baker, with 23 assists, helped pace the offensive attack. Baker, a senior from Elkton, Maryland, finished her career with 2,172 assists. The total ranks sixth in program history.
Sophomore middle blocker
Tempestt Vaughn, a Beaumont native, recorded a pair of solo blocks and junior
Jo Simovic also chipped in a solo block.
Lexie Torres led the team with eight digs while Baker added another seven.
