HOUSTON, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana closes out its 2017 season at 11 a.m. Saturday with a Southland Conference volleyball match against Houston Baptist in Sharp Gym.

Southeastern (3-26, 1-14 Southland) dropped a 3-0 decision to the Huskies back on Oct. 5 at the University Center.

• Earlier this season against the Huskies, both Lexie Torres (20) and Savannah Alcazar (18) established a new career high in digs.
• Elyssa Purcell (Alvin, Texas) ranks second in the conference with an average of 0.40 service aces per set.
• Torres ranks tenth in digs (3.70 per set).
• Alcazar (League City, Texas) leads seven Lady Lions averaging at least one kill per set (2.38). Purcell (2.07) and fellow Alvin native Chloee Holden (1.81) are next.
• Southeastern is averaging 10.76 kills with a .139 attack percentage, 10.04 assists, 13.43 digs and 1.44 blocks per set. Opponents are averaging 13.47 kills with a .260 attack percentage, 12.75 assists, 14.89 digs and 2.26 blocks per set.

Picked fourth in the Southland's preseason poll … currently sits in a three-way tie for fourth place in the standings … Bailey Banks and Blair Gillard earned first team preseason All-Conference honors and Jessica Wooten picked up second team honors … Banks (3.61 per set) and Wooten (3.05 per set) lead HBU in kills … Banks ranks third in the conference and Wooten eighth … Gillard (1.33 per set) leads the Southland in blocks … the Huskies are averaging 13.26 kills with a .219 attack percentage, 12.39 assists, 16.54 digs and 2.52 blocks per set.
