HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana returns to its home court Saturday to host in-state rival New Orleans in a Southland Conference volleyball match. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. in the University Center.
 
The Lady Lions (2-18, 0-6 Southland) will celebrate National Dessert Day in conjunction with Saturday's match against UNO (7-11, 1-5 Southland). Fans can enjoy sweet treats before the match courtesy of Southeastern Athletics Marketing and Promotions.
 
Admission to the match is free and fans are asked to enter the arena upstairs at Gate 3. Volleyball posters and magnet schedules will be available in the Fan Zone, and students can earn points toward their LionUp Loyalty account by checking in on the app while in attendance.

• Junior libero Lexie Torres (San Antonio, Texas) ranks 10th in the Southland in digs (3.61 per set).
• Alcazar (League City, Texas) leads seven Lady Lions averaging at least one kill per set (2.20). Alvin, Texas, natives Chloee Holden (1.95) and Elyssa Purcell (1.76) are next.
• Southeastern set a season high with 10 service aces, topping the previous high of seven set earlier this season at Alabama State.
• Steadily improving, the Lady Lions' .199 attack percentage against Lamar was their second best of the season and the 62 points recorded by Southeastern was the second most the Lady Lions have recorded this season, trailing only the 75 points attained against Alabama State.
• Southeastern is averaging 10.45 kills with a .123 attack percentage, 9.65 assists, 13.45 digs and 1.35 blocks per set. Opponents are averaging 13.53 kills with a .249 attack percentage, 12.83 assists, 15.42 digs and 2.39 blocks per set.
