ABILENE, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team heads west to Abilene Christian for a Southland Conference match Saturday at 11 a.m. in Moody Coliseum.

Southeastern (2-12, 1-1 Southland), which split a pair of 5-set conference matches this past week, is led offensively by
Chloee Holden (2.06 kills per set), a freshman from Alvin, Texas,
Parrie Hartley (2.03 k/set), a senior from Columbus, Texas, and redshirt freshman
Elyssa Purcell (1.98 k/set, 3.96 assists per set), also from Alvin.
Purcell shares setting duties with
Haley Baker (4.96 a/set), a sophomore from Elkton, Maryland.
Rachael Bunn (0.69 blocks per set), a senior from San Juan Capistrano, California, and
Savannah Alcazar (0.45 b/set), a freshman from League City, Texas, are the Lady Lions' top blocking threats.
Monica Ramon (3.67 digs per set), a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas,
Madi Odom (2.69 d/set), a senior from Kingwood, Texas,
Macey Stock (2.29 d/set), a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Purcell (2.17 d/set) are Southeastern's top defenders along the back line.
Purcell's four triple-doubles this season rank fifth nationally.
ACU defeated New Orleans (3-13, 0-3 Southland) in four sets Thursday.
Jacey Smith (2.73 k/set) and Corinne Grandcolas (1.92 k/set) are the Wildcats leading attackers, while Kendall Bosse (7.19 a/set) directs the offense.
Lexi Mercier (1.09 b/set) and Lauren Walker (1.07 b/set) are ACU's top blockers. Amanda Chappa (4.02 d/set), Dorothy Swanson (2.11 d/set) and Bosse (2.08 d/set) anchor the defense along the back line.
The Wildcats lead the all-time series, 2-1, having won matches in each of the last two seasons.
Following the ACU match, Southeastern steps outside of conference play for the final time during the regular season with a match Wednesday at UL Lafayette (4-12). The Lady Lions' next home match is Oct. 8 at the University Center against in-state rival New Orleans.
