HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana baseball program will host Family Day activities in conjunction with its annual Heart of a Lion Fall World Series, Oct. 7-9, head coach
Matt Riser announced Wednesday.
Family Day activities include the Southeastern football game Saturday evening against rival McNeese State, as well as food and a parents meeting Sunday at 3 p.m.
The series will last three games, with first pitches scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday.
Seniors
Webb Bobo,
Ryan Byers,
Carson Crites,
Cliff Hurst,
Derrick Mount and
Jacob Seward will serve as team captains, selecting their teams in a draft. Details on the team draft will be released on the athletic Twitter account, @SLUathletics, later in the week.
Admission is free to all three games at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. Live stats and streaming video (subscription-based) will also be available. Links for both will be available on the baseball schedule page at www.LionSports.net.
Performances during the world series are incorporated into the baseball program's Heart of a Lion team-building competition held each fall.
