HAMMOND, La. – Fresh off a grueling 10-match road swing, the Southeastern Louisiana volleyball squad returns to the University Center to open Southland Conference play against Lamar at 7 p.m. Thursday in the annual Dig the Lions match.
The first 200 Southeastern students in attendance at Thursday's match will receive a Dig the Lions t-shirt and free food courtesy Southeastern Athletics Marketing and Promotions.
Admission, as it will be for all home volleyball matches this season, is free. Fans should enter the arena upstairs at Gate 3. Volleyball posters and magnet schedules will be available in the Fan Zone and students can earn points toward their LionUp Loyalty account by checking in on the app while in attendance.
The Lady Lions (1-11) cap off the weekend with another Southland match, hosting Houston Baptist at 1 p.m. Saturday, leading up to the evening's football home opener.

Southeastern's offensive attack is led by
Parrie Hartley (2.03 kills per set), a senior from Columbus, Texas,
Elyssa Purcell (1.97 k/set) a redshirt freshman from Alvin, Texas, and Chloe Holden (1.84 k/set), also freshman from Alvin.
Purcell (3.73 assists per set), who ranks fifth nationally with a pair of triple-double performances already this season, shares setting duties with
Haley Baker (5.25 a/set), a sophomore from Elkton, Maryland.
Rachael Bunn (0.61 blocks per set), Purcell (0.41 b/set) and
Savannah Alcazar (0.38 b/set) are the Lady Lions' top blocking threats, while
Monica Ramon (3.48 digs per set), a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas,
Madi Odom (2.49 d/set), a senior from Kingwood, Texas, and
Macey Stock (2.10 d/set), a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, are the top defenders along the back row.
Lamar (0-12) dropped all three matches it played this past weekend at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.
Chelsea Grant (3.24 k/set), Murielle Hlavac (1.86 k/set), Ashley Ellis (6.52 a/set) and Haley Morton (5.25 a/set) pace the Cardinals' offense.
Ivette Dim (0.76 b/set) is Lamar's top blocker and Lauren Stahlman (2.56 d/set) is their top defender.
HBU (8-7) dropped all three of its matches this past weekend at the UT Arlington Invitational.
Bailey Banks (3.56 k/set), Melissa Fuchs (2.65 k/set) and Ashlee Van (2.35 k/set) are the Huskies' top attackers, while Kayla Armer dishes out an average of 10.02 assists per set.
Laura Fox (0.74 b/set) and Vann (0.62 b/set) are HBU's top blocking threats. Banks (3.44 d/set) and Hailey Erickson (3.07 d/set) anchor the back row.
