LAFAYETTE, La. – Southeastern Louisiana steps outside of Southland Conference play Wednesday, traveling to UL Lafayette for a 6:30 p.m. volleyball match at Earl K. Long Gym.

The Lady Lions (2-13) are coming off a 4-set loss in Southland action at Abilene Christian.
Parrie Hartley (2.02 kills per set), a senior from Columbus, Texas,
Chloee Holden (2.00 k/set), a freshman from Alvin, Texas, and
Elyssa Purcell (1.94 k/set, 4.02 assists per set) lead the Southeastern offensive attack.
Purcell, a redshirt freshman from Alvin, shares setting duties with
Haley Baker (4.95 a/set), a sophomore from Elkton, Maryland. With four triple-double performances this season, Purcell ranks fifth nationally.
Rachael Bunn (0.63 blocks per set), a senior from San Juan Capistrano, California, and
Savannah Alcazar (0.49 b/set), a freshman from League City, Texas, are the Lady Lions' top blocking threats at the net.
Monica Ramon (3.72 digs per set), a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas,
Madi Odom (2.60 d/set), a senior from Kingwood, Texas,
Macey Stock (2.33 d/set), a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Purcell (2.22 d/set) are the top defenders along the back line.
UL Lafayette split a pair of matches this past week, winning a 5-set decision at Little Rock and then falling in straight sets at Arkansas State.
Stacey Reilly (3.49 k/set) and Chanelle Gardner (2.79 k/set) are the Ragin' Cajuns' leading attackers, while setter Jessica Bartczyszyn is handing out an average of 9.72 assists per set.
Gardner (0.89 b/set), Chynna Brooks (0.71 b/set), Chloe Cordell (0.62 b/set) and Nia Antoine (0.61 b/set) lead the UL Lafayette defense at the net. Sydney Davis (4.07 d/set), Reilly (2.96 d/set) and McKenzie John (2.52 d/set) anchor the defense along the back line.
The Ragin' Cajuns have won the last three matches in the series, dating back to a 3-1 Southeastern win on Sept. 23, 2008, in Hammond, Louisiana.
Southeastern returns to conference action with a home match Oct. 8 at the University Center against in-state rival New Orleans.
