HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team wraps up the home portion of its 2016 schedule Tuesday, hosting Central Arkansas in a Southland Conference match at 6 p.m. in the University Center.
Southeastern finishes out the week with road matches Thursday at Sam Houston State (12-12, 6-5 Southland) and Saturday at Stephen F. Austin (16-8, 9-2 Southland).
Admission to Tuesday's match against UCA (11-13, 5-7 Southland) is free. Fans should enter the arena upstairs at Gate 3. Volleyball posters and magnet schedules will be available in the Fan Zone, and students can earn points toward their LionUp Loyalty account by checking in on the app while in attendance.

With the Southland volleyball tournament two weeks away, Southeastern (6-19, 5-7 Southland) currently sits in a tie with UCA, McNeese (9-18, 5-7 Southland) and Lamar (5-19, 5-7 Southland) for the final three spots.
The Lady Lions swept the season series from McNeese and defeated Lamar in the only matchup this season. UCA defeated Southeastern in straight sets back on Oct. 13 in Conway, Arkansas.
Chloee Holden (2.06 kills per set), a freshman from Alvin, Texas,
Landry Bullock (2.04 k/s), a senior from Spring, Texas,
Elyssa Purcell (1.87 k/s, 3.91 assists per set), a redshirt freshman also from Alvin, and
Madi Odom (1.71 k/s), a senior from Kingwood, Texas, pace the Lady Lion offense with a helping hand from
Haley Baker (5.26 a/s), a sophomore from Elkton, Maryland.
Bullock, who has recorded 881 kills in her career, currently ranks 10th all-time at Southeastern in kills.
Rachael Bunn (0.58 blocks per set), a senior from San Juan Capistrano, California, and
Savannah Alcazar (0.52 b/s), a freshman from League City, Texas, are the team's top blocking threats. Bunn is third in block assists (264) and ranks fourth in total blocks (302) on Southeastern's career list.
Monica Ramon (3.81 d/set), a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, Odom (2.92 d/s),
Macey Stock (2.32 d/s), a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Purcell (2.31 d/s) anchor the defense along the back line.
Purcell leads the nation with seven triple-doubles this season.
The Sugar Bears picked up a 3-1 win over Abilene Christian (8-19, 7-5 Southland) the last time out, rebounding from back-to-back losses at Sam Houston and SFA.
Haley Tippett (2.66 k/s), Samantha Anderson (2.62 k/s), Kellen Dunn (2.27 k/s), Megan Nash (2.26 k/s) lead the UCA offensive attack under the direction of setter Elizabeth Armstrong (8.83 a/s).
Historically one of the top blocking squads in the Southland, the Sugar Bears rank fourth with an average of 2.21 team blocks per set. Nash (1.08 b/s), Savanah Allen (0.97 b/s) and Anderson (0.91 b/s) are UCA's top blocking threats this season.
Along the back line, Amanda Dimon (3.27 d/s) and Tippett (3.09 d/s) are the top Sugar Bear defenders.
After another busy week, Southeastern next takes to the court Nov. 12 at New Orleans to wrap up the regular season.
The Southland Conference Volleyball Tournament, which will be hosted by the Sugar Bears, runs Nov. 18-20 in Conway and will feature the conference's top eight eligible teams.
