HAMMOND, La. – After picking up a win on the road in its Southland Conference opener, the Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team returns to the University Center for a pair of conference matches Thursday and Saturday.
Southeastern (3-9, 1-0 Southland) hosts Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (7-10, 0-0 Southland) Thursday at 7 p.m. and Houston Baptist (5-9, 0-0 Southland) at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Lady Lions are coming off a sweeping, three-set win over the University of New Orleans.
Parrie Hartley (2.60 kills per set),
Tiffany Thomas (2.50 k/set) and
Mikayla Shippy (8.76 assists per set) lead the Lady Lion offense.
Rachael Bunn (0.85 blocks per set) and
Veronica Turk (0.78 blocks per set) have helped Southeastern to the sixth-most blocks (1.72 per set) in the Southland this season.
Morgan Todd is fourth in the conference with 4.74 digs per set.
A&M-Corpus Christi has dropped three of its last four matches, including a four-set loss Tuesday to No. 22-ranked Texas A&M.
Brianna Brink (3.29 k/set, .201 attack percentage), Haley Satterwhite (2.69 k/set), Ashley Phelps (2.58 k/set) and Kristyn Nicholson (8.70 a/set) are the offensive leaders for the Islanders. Shayla Maldonado (3.78 d/set), Ivy Baresh (3.36 d/set) and Kate Klepetka (3.36 d/set) are the key defensive personnel.
Houston Baptist has dropped its last three matches since defeating Prairie View back on Sept. 16.
Jessica Wooten (3.38 k/set), Bailey Keith (2.47 k/set), Megan McStravick (2.33 k/set) and Kayla Armer (9.76 a/set) pace the Huskies' offense. Haley Hoffman (4.13 d/set) and McStravick (3.18 d/set) are the leaders on the back row.
Allison Doerpinghaus (1.18 b/set) and Blair Gillard (1.00 b/set) are part of the reason that the Huskies are second in the Southland with an average of 2.28 blocks per set.
Prior to Saturday's contest against the Lady Lions, Houston Baptist faces UNO in a conference match Thursday evening.
