NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team dropped a four-set match Saturday, 25-11, 25-21, 18-25, 25-17, to Howard in the 13th annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Classic at Devlin Fieldhouse.

Southeastern (2-8) rallied from a slow start, but the Howard (6-5) offense was too much to overcome.

Rachael Bunn (10 kills, .273 attack percentage), Tiffany Thomas (eight kills) and Morgan Miller (28 assists) led the Lady Lion offense. For her efforts, Bunn was named to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Classic All-Tournament Team. Landry Bullock, Miller, Elizabeth Ramee and Thomas all served up aces.

Southeastern posted eight team blocks and Bunn had a hand in six of them. Morgan Todd (20 digs) led three Lady Lions in double-digit digs, including Brooke Balser (10) and Miller (10). Miller's dig total gave the sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the first double-double of her career.

Khaila Donaldson (16 kills), Assata Conway (12 kills, .357 attack percentage) and Stephanie Shultis (39 assists) were the offensive leaders for Howard. Katherine Broussard served up three aces.

The Lady Bison threw up 12 blocks as a team and Shultis contributed to five of them. Broussard (13) Morgan Marlbrough (13), Allyson Lods (11) and Shultis (10) were the digs leaders, with Shultis compiling a double-double.

Southeastern returns to the University Center, Tuesday at 7 p.m., to host Southern Miss.
