HAMMOND, La. – Fresh off a three-set win over Jacksonville State, the Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team heads to the University Center to host Southern in its home opener Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The Lady Lions (1-2) swept Jacksonville State in three, 25-13, 31-29, 25-16, this past Saturday in the UAB/Samford Volleyball Challenge.
Parrie Hartley (3.36 kills per set),
Tiffany Thomas (2.57 k/set),
Veronica Turk (1.91 k/set, 10 total blocks),
Elizabeth Ramee (1.89 k/set, 2.11 digs per set) and
Sarah Friedman (1.88 k/set) lead the Southeastern offense with help from
Mikayla Shippy (10.73 assists per set).
Morgan Todd (4.09 d/set) and
Brooke Balser (2.45 d/set) anchor the Lady Lions' back row.
Southern (1-3) defeated South Carolina State in four sets before falling in to UT-Martin in its final match at Alabama State's ISTAP Collegiate Cup.
Southeastern returns to the road this coming weekend, facing George Washington, host James Madison and Hampton at the JMU Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
