HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana men's basketball squad returns to the University Center, Friday at 7 p.m., to host Winthrop in a non-conference contest.
Southeastern (2-8) has played nine of its first 10 regular-season games on the road this season. Winthrop (4-5), which defeated Clemson earlier this year, has dropped three of its last four games.

Last time out, Southeastern dropped an 80-62 decision at the University of Texas at El Paso, Tuesday, in its first action since completing final exams.
Zay Jackson, who left the game for a short time early in the first half with an injury, poured in a career-high 26 points to lead the Lions on offense.
Joshua Filmore added 12 and
Onochie Ochie chipped in 10 points.
DeVonte Upson grabbed 12 rebounds, one shy of his career best.
Jackson (16.0 points per game), Filmore (12.4 ppg), Upson (9.5 ppg) and
Andrew Guillory (9.5 ppg) lead Southeastern on offense. Jackson (3.7 assists per game) and Filmore (2.1 apg) have split time running the point. Upson is averaging a team-best 8.1 rebounds per contest.
The Lions are shooting 41.7 percent from the floor (232-of-557), 28.1 percent from three-point range (57-of-203) and 72.4 percent on free throws (123-of-170).
Keon Moore (16.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg) and Keon Johnson (11.3 ppg) are Winthrop's top scoring threats. Andre Smith is averaging 9.8 points and 5.4 assists this season, and Tevin Prescott leads the team with 6.2 rebounds per game.
The Eagles are shooting 41.6 percent from the floor (220-of-529), 33 percent from three-point range (70-of-212) and 67.2 percent on free throws (135-of-201).
After Friday's contest the Lions head to Florida, squeezing in a pair of games before Christmas. Southeastern plays at Central Florida, Monday at 6 p.m., and South Florida, Tuesday at noon.
